Job Description

RBC Capital Markets is a leading global investment banking company dedicated to providing services in banking, finance, and capital markets to corporations, institutional investors, asset managers, and governments globally. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior UX Designer to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the user experience for a key new cross-asset application. You will be instrumental in defining and delivering a robust UX strategy and implementing across multiple programs. This is a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on a major strategic platform and collaborate with top-tier development teams.

What will you do?  

Develop and champion a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns to business process and user needs

Drive an in-depth understanding of user needs through user research and analysis of user data

Ensure that the UX strategy is implementable within the program’s constraints and budget while maintaining a high-quality user experience

Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes with associated interactions to drive early design prototypes

Collaborate closely with product managers, developers and users across multiple teams and regions

Provide thought leadership and mentorship, drive improvements in product management and tools usage within RBC CM.

What do you need to succeed?  

Must-have

Minimum 5+ years experience in UX Design within the Financial industry

Experience leading and implementing UX strategies from the ground up, as well as building UX teams

Experience in complex mapping at scale

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma

Nice-to-have       

Experience working in Capital Markets

Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $135,000 - $225,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
