Associate Director – CCAR and Capital Adequacy

What is the Opportunity?

The CCAR and Capital Adequacy role will be responsible for supporting the company’s capital management strategy and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to Comprehensive Capital Analysis Review (CCAR). This roles involves working closely with cross functional teams (incl. Finance, Risk, Treasury, Tax. Etc.) to manage capital planning, stress testing, and reporting process.

What will you do?

Capital Management:

Monitor and analyze capital ratios, trends, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.Calibrate Internal Capital Goals, Targets and Triggers on an annual basis (or more frequently if required).Lead discussions with Legal Entity management team to establish cross-functional alignment on subsidiaries’ capital targets and triggers.Update capital contingency action playbook and escalation methodsSupport capital transaction analysis (including equity injection, dividend and sub-debt injection / repayment), develop and recommend potential capital transaction sizing to senior management team and facilitate transaction execution, ensure smooth end-to-end process.Monitor subsidiaries capital positionsPerform quarterly back testing analysis.Assessing potential impact of Basel III endgame rules on RBC US capital position and projections.

CCAR:

Support end-to-end CCAR aggregation process and stress testing analytics on RBC US and its subsidiary entities to ensure adequate capital under all scenarios.Assist in managing CCAR runbook.Perform entity-level capital forecast and analytics to ensure that RBC US and its subsidiaries have sufficient capital to support business growth and sustain potential losses; identify drives that impact capital positionsFR-Y 14A Reporting:Track and monitor changes in instructions and forms to be implementation in aggregation engine.Review FR Y-14A templates used for the Capital Plan.Develop presentation materials for Management and Board Committees and the Board.

What do you need to succeed?

Bachelor's Degree4-6+ years of experience in capital management, adequacy, planning, CCAR, and regulatory reporting

Nice-to-Have

Full understanding of capital adequacy analytics, procedures and policies in financial servicesStrong analytical and problem solving skills

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000-$190,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
