As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world. **Job Description** + Lead the Cost Management team on specific client commissions, making sure that the team delivers on all accountabilities. + Interface with the client, stakeholders, and other consultants, at all project stages. + Identify opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates and products. + Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared. + Process improvement – Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes. + Lead proposals for new work or variations for existing projects. + Attend relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities. + Staff management – Input into the formal management of staff and recruitment interviews. + Undertake Staff Performance reviews. + Financial management – Utilize the tools provided keep track of the ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission. + Review and participate with the design services team and general contractor, in the development of the cost estimates. + Reconcile changes that occur over the planning phase and assist the general contractor to ensure that their data is accurate. + Quality Control – Ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits. + Communicate or meet with general contractor and owner project manager to gather status information to prepare a cost estimate update. + Prepare written comments to the general contractor’s submissions, including the executive summary. Coordinate all sources of cost information for cost discussions and suppliers direct from NPA, subs, quantities from A/Es, + Provide estimate and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan. + Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects. Complete timely, accurate cost checking and valuation processes. + Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes. + Manage Cost impact / contingency management and commitment tracking logs. + Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate VE sessions with stakeholders. + Understand cost (material prices, labor, productivities) as well as commit profiles, cashflow, LLE dates, and overall project cost. + Prepare Cost Management estimates and reports. + Advise clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing. **RELATED OCCUPATION:** Management Consultant-Project Controls or any other job title performing the following job duties: + Setting up complex programs and projects for success by joining people, process and technology to deliver the best outcome. + Breaking down complex challenges into addressable problems. + Using systems, data and tech to improve operations. + Resource Planning of Team structure and assign tasks; determining who is best suited for each required task, how many members are assigned to each team and planning how to monitor progress. + Setting a risk management plan to mitigate risks before they can become real project threats; + Outlining adaptability contingencies; both internal and external factors which can demand that a project must change its course. + Monitoring project status; setting a schedule and determining a method (i.e. whether in person regular meetings, or the submission of written reports) for monitoring how well or poorly the project is progressing. + Recommending deadlines and budget; setting in place a plan for establishing the initial project costs, keeping track of changes to the budget by regular communication with the accounting department, and ensuring that deadlines are met. + Developing a contingency plan for if and when a deadline is not met, how to avoid future deadline failures. + Setting a system for evaluating and analyzing how well each element of the project planning and execution is contributing to the overall project success within the scope of the project. **SALARY RANGE:** $155,000 to $185,000/year **JOB TIME** : Full Time **Qualifications** **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:** Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in the Related Occupation **Additional Information** _Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
