The position
As the Associate Director, you will utilize your diverse skill set to effectively tackle Novo Nordisk’s challenges. Your ability to analyse and solve problems, coupled with your project management expertise, will enable you to consistently deliver impressive results, even when dealing with complex objectives and stakeholders. 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Lead team(s) of consultants to successfully deliver projects, providing strategic guidance and shaping overall scope and approach. You will lead 1-2 projects at a time, each with a dedicated Project Manager and a team of associates. Scope new projects together with (internal) clients, focussing on priority areas across the value chain Lead presentations with senior audiences and leverage your industry know-how to drive broader client impact, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor Inspire, mentor and develop your project team, furthering NN Con’s reputation as a talent incubator Serve as a member of the NNCon leadership team, setting the direction and priorities for the department Take on people management responsibilities for a team of consultants, guiding their development journey with impactful mentorship and coaching Champion the development of NNCon, taking ownership of critical department initiatives 

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has/is: 

Master’s degree/ PhD in economics, business administration, engineering, science, medical, or similar, with excellent results Around 6 years of experience in strategy consulting and project management from a well-reputed strategy consultancy or strategy department, with experience from the pharma or life science industry Proven experience in managing people and driving large, complex project teams including as a sparring partner  Strong interpersonal skills and motivation to drive change at all levels of the organisation, while serving as role model for junior colleagues within the department Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex information clearly, both verbally and in writing Proven to be challenge-seeking, and goal and result oriented

 

About the department 
Novo Nordisk Consulting is Novo Nordisk’s in-house management consultancy reporting directly to Executive Management. We focus on combining best practices from top-tier strategy consultancies with the strengths of being an internal consultancy to drive a broad range of high-profile projects across the value chain and geographies.

Our projects provide exposure to Senior Management for all team members and the unit is recognised as a key talent incubator in Novo Nordisk with a strong track record for exporting talents to management positions across the organisation. We develop our talents by continuously investing in both personal and professional development and strive to offer the same steep learning curve as in top-tier consultancies. You will join a young, dynamic team of +30 employees with diverse backgrounds. Our aspiration is to grow further, which is supported by a strong buy-in from top management.
