The Barnes Center at The Arch is Syracuse University's integrated health and wellness center which incorporates health promotion, counseling, health, and recreation. The Associate Director is a core member of the Health Promotion Leadership team. As part of the Health Promotion team, the Associate Director has oversight over day-to-day Health Promotion operations and serves as the senior leader of the Health Promotion team in the absence of the Director. This position is responsible for the administration and operation of signature services such as the Crowley Family Mindspa and satellite locations, Walters Pet Therapy Room/Program, Meditation Room, and Peer Leader team. The Associate Director will lead the development, implementation, and assessment of the Health Promotion communication strategy working with campus partners to create awareness of programs, services, and health/wellness campaigns. This position supervises a Health Promotion Specialist and indirectly supervises the student employee team.
