Associate Director - Claims Advocacy

Aon is looking for an Associate Director, Claims Advocate in Reinsurance, hybrid in Chicago, IL.; 1-2 days in office per week. What the day will look like: In this role, you will work closely with the sales team to provide extraordinary customer experience and be a part of the best-in-class client services team in the reinsurance industry. We are looking for a candidate who is prepared to oversee all claim activities of various reinsurance contracts. You are excited to be the dedicated advocate for your clients on a team that handles over $25B in ceded reserves per year. You will continue to build and implement your individual career development plan with dedicated mentors that will assist you along the way. How this opportunity is different: Assist clients in the notifications and explanations to reinsurers of individually reported claims, complex claims and/or catastrophe claims Assist with complex coverage issues and resolving differences by providing contract interpretation, claim information and potential negotiations across many lines of business Be an excellent communicator with clients, brokers and reinsurers Secure millions of dollars of collections and/or collateral for your clients every year Your leadership will ensure that all claims for your client are managed timely and accurately Your excellent collaboration will make you a critical part of the sales team Coordinate and attend client meetings to ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships. Effectively manage and coordinate reinsurer queries to full resolution satisfactory to your client. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing others Skills and experience that will lead to success: 5+ years of reinsurance experience preferred Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or equivalent experience in insurance or reinsurance Ability to use critical thought to problem solve across various situations Ability to calculate reinsurance ceded amounts and apply to claims billed on behalf of your clients. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
