Job OverviewThe University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for an Associate Director of Academic Affairs position. Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the Associate Director of Academic Affairs is a leadership position with collaboration within and outside of the college.
The duties of this position include the following: provide leadership of the Academic Support Team in support of the College’s academic units (13 departments); engage in team building and direct supervision of exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, time off approval, etc.); manage the scheduling and registration of classes; manage the scheduling of rooms; liaison with the University Registrar’s Office for scheduling of classes and other registration and scheduling issues; design and oversee preparation and analysis of reports; manage curriculum approval processes; manage program status changes; assist in coordination of academic assessment data and reporting; manage course evaluation processes; manage non-credit offerings. The Associate Director of Academic Affairs works collaboratively with department heads, faculty, staff including those in Advising, Enrollment Services, and the UC registrar’s office.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with the option of one remote working day per week with the possibility of two remote days during the summer semester. Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area (OH/IN/KY) with reasonable distance to campus to have the ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. This position is a full-time staff position.
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience Three (3) years of experience with registration, scheduling, or related field. One (1) year of supervision experience Additional Qualifications Considered Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collegially with academic unit heads, faculty, staff, and students with a commitment to a student-centered environment. Accuracy and close attention to detail. The ability to manage queries, databases, student information systems, and scheduling software. Experience in program coordination, registration, classroom scheduling, and curriculum approval processes. Experience in project management and overseeing multiple projects at one time.
