We are seeking an **Associate Director of Business Development** to join IQVIA Laboratories in a **remote** position. As an Associate Director of Business Development, you will secure and retain business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. **What you’ll be doing:** + Actively prospecting and leveraging potential new business opportunities within specified customer account(s). + Cultivating strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and developing in-depth knowledge of the customer organization. + Maintaining general knowledge of all IQVIA services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities. + Aggressively pursuing awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing, including specific reasons for awards and non-awards. + Identifying and responding to customer needs to define potential opportunities and propose appropriate strategies/solutions. + Coordinating with contracts/proposals to develop proposals. + Working with operations and functional managers to identify sales teams and preparing and leading sales presentations. + Handling follow-up related to the sale and drive completion of contractual documents. **What we are looking for:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. + 10 years of related experience, including 3 years of relevant industry (CRO/Pharmaceutical) and/or sales experience. + Proven track record at mid-level and high-level contacts. + Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. **The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:** + Excellent Business/Industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and their impact on the business. + Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data. + Ability to maintain demanding timelines and influence others internally and externally. + Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail. **What we offer you:** We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs.
