JOB DESCRIPTION:
** This position is in the Woodruff Industry Sponsored Clinical Trials Office (WISC). **
Oversees the negotiation of contractual terms and conditions with industry sponsors. Finalizes contracts, provides authorized institutional signature for approval. Leads organizational discussions of complex issues related to industry sponsored research by serving as liaison with external parties to resolve questions or problems. Responsible for the integrity of the contract data used to generate reports, including contract timelines and study records. Ensures that contract information is entered into relevant databases. Conducts training and educational sessions for faculty and staff on industry contract management, contractual issues and institutional policies regarding contract awards.Responsible for ensuring team compliance with related policies. Hires, trains, and supervises staff. Assists leadership with special projects. Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Juris Doctor degree and six years of sponsored research, grants management or related experience, which includes lead/management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training. Extensive experience with review and negotiation of a variety of industry contracts.NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed and at times, on short notice. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
