The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing formulation development projects, primarily in the pharmaceutical sector, and serving as a key point of contact for our clients. This position involves both technical and business feasibility assessments for proposed technologies, the development of new technologies utilizing both internal and external resources, and managing a talented team of scientists and engineers.
Responsibilities
Leading customer formulation development projects (primarily pharmaceutical) and interfacing with clients as a key FreeThink contact
Providing technical and business feasibility assessments for proposed technologies
Leading the development of new technologies using both internal and external resources
Managing a group of scientists and engineers including experimental oversight and career development
Recommending new capabilities and instrumentation
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ph.D. in chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
Experience in the pharmaceutical or aligned industry of at least 8 years
Evidence of leading formulation projects to completion
Experience assessing and developing new technologies in the pharmaceutical field
Supervisory experience leading a group of scientists/engineers
Evidence of excellent scientific writing and oral presentation skills
Ability to interface successfully across the organization and with external partners
Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis for any employer without the need for sponsorship
