Budget Title: Staff Associate (SL-4)
Salary: $62,596
Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs in Harpur College, the Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment and Funding oversees graduate funding operations and collaborates on recruitment initiatives across Harpur College. The Associate Director works closely with faculty, graduate directors, and staff in a dynamic environment to coordinate graduate funding processes while supporting broader recruitment efforts and program administration.
Responsibilities:
+ Graduate Funding:
+ Maintain graduate funding database and monitor funding eligibility
+ Review and process all GA/TA hiring forms
+ Process tuition payments in Banner
+ Provide reports on enrollment, funding, and admissions
+ Oversee HR forms
+ Prepare departmental funding snapshots three times per year
+ Coordinate GSA donor funds
+ Issue graduate funding allocation letters with assistant and associate deans
+ Recruitment and Admissions:
+ Engage in recruiting initiatives
+ Track admissions and enrollment data
+ Respond to prospective student inquiries
+ Manage 4+1 program workflow and declaration process
+ Process fee waivers and assist with travel funds
+ Participate in admissions and yield events
+ Administrative Leadership:
+ Serve as a resource for graduate directors and departmental staff
+ Maintain Harpur portal graduate affairs content
+ Provide training and support for department personnel
+ Manage graduate student communications and listserv
+ Monitor budgets and process financial transactions
+ Coordinate with RF for hiring processes and tuition payments
+ Work with Human Resources, Student Accounts, ISSS, Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions and the Graduate School
Job Requirements:
+ Master's degree
+ 3-5 years of experience in higher education administration
+ Demonstrated experience with student information systems and databases
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent written and oral communication abilities
+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Experience with budget management and financial processes
Preferred:
+ Experience with graduate education administration
+ Knowledge of Banner system
+ Understanding of graduate funding processes and regulations
+ Experience with data analysis and reporting
+ Background in student recruitment or admissions
