Summary

Perdue Farms is hiring an Associate Director of Operations to support our Harvest facility in Lewiston, NC. The purpose of this position is to manage the Company’s processing plants/facilities so as to maximize profits, maintain consistent product quality and meet customer needs.  Additionally responsible for directing the management teams to select, develop, and motivate personnel as well as assuring quality staffing at all levels of management while adhering to safety and ergonomic goals and objectives.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Works with Operations management in establishing and measuring operating and capital budgets for the operation in a manner to enable the operation to maintain a competitive position in the industry. Leads and develops each plant processing area to ensure plant metrics are met. Works with all support departments to ensure each facet of the organization is working together for associate engagement and meet company goals. Provides feedback and guidance to the processing team in developing solutions for improving processes, maintaining processing environment, and innovative problem solving. Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and promote a community image of the Company as the preferred place to work. Ensures that product quality, service, and reliability meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations. Minimum Education

Bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience in Business or Ag-Business

Experience Requirements 10 years related work experience.  Requires knowledge of budget development and administration, report analysis, USDA and employment law.  Must have a broad integrated knowledge of live production and plant operations.  Must be able to travel to remote facilities and/or offices for meetings up to 25% of the time. Must be willing to relocate, if applicable. Experience Preferred Poultry husbandry knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude a plus. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 2. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
