Associate Director of Sales

The position is responsible for selling, administration, and market planning, communications, and inventory management.  Sales personnel development and training are also components of this position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Administrative:

Identify sources of group business to the hotel and establish solicitation programs to maximize group salesParticipate in development of marketing plan and budgetAssist with forecasting for 30/60/90-day reportsProvide guidance to new and current sales staff, as requested by the Director of Sales/MarketingProperly maintain files and accountsIn the absence of the Director of Marketing and Director of Sales, ADOS is responsible for the sales office operations

Selling:

Develop and maintain national account base that produce significant revenueImplement sales action plan which includes telephone/direct mail solicitation, personal call program, related sales trips, trade show participation and entertainmentRespond promptly to all inquiries and correspondence from customers, prospects and lead referralsRespect guideline of confidentiality and code of ethics in all company areas.  Represent Loews Hotels in a professional manner at all timesRespond promptly to requests by Director of Sales and Director of Marketing for reports and other assignmentsExecute sales trips to geographic markets assigned per yearAchieve sales room night and revenue goals as specified in the goal setting processDevelop working relationship with hotel department heads and operational areasRepresent Loews Hotels in a professional manner at industry trade shows and meetings, as outlined in the marketing planFollow up promptly on all assigned leadsBe a primary liaison to the Loews National Sales Offices, third party meeting planners and Convention Bureau staff

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills – oral and writtenExcellent networking, negotiation and presentation skills requiredMust be a skilled leader, have strong organizational skills, and have thorough knowledge and understanding of hotel operations

Education: 

College degree preferred

Experience:

Minimum 10 years hospitality sales experience
