Objective The Associate Director will assist the Foundation in advancing knowledge through relationships with donors. They will assist in fundraising through a combination of individuals, corporations, planned giving, annual appeals, scholarships, operating and capital development that will secure the financial needs of the College through pledges, donations, small and large gifts.


Required Quals Summary 1. Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in major donor and gift solicitation, or an equivalent combination of related experience.
2. Fundraising experience Special Notes To Applicants This is a 12 month, benefits-eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full-time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits. Yearly leave time includes:

Principal Accountabilities 1. Fundraising through a combination of individuals, corporations, planned giving, annual appeals, scholarships, operating and capital development that will secure the financial needs of the College through pledges, donations, small and large gifts Principal Accountabilities 2. Working closely with the Director, Foundation Board and District Chancellor on fundraising initiatives. Principal Accountabilities 3. Prospect research, solicitation and donor stewardship. Principal Accountabilities 4. Manage a portfolio of gifts level prospects through the entire cycle of development. Principal Accountabilities 5. Implement a thorough donor acknowledgement and stewardship system and maintain consistent contact with major donors. Principal Accountabilities 6. Work with Director to manage the solicitation process, including recommending proposal ask amounts and monitoring committee. Principal Accountabilities 7. Undertake special assignments on behalf of the Director and Foundation as requested. Principal Accountabilities 8. Fundraising and development of Alumni & Friends Association and Alumni Lettermen events. Principal Accountabilities 9. Oversee and operate the accounting software Funddriver.
