Associate Director of the Office of Research Development
Job Description - Research Administration: Must be knowledgeable about research administration. - Strategic Direction: Assisting with strategic direction in the office. - Programming and Training: Leading programming, training, and mini-courses on grant writing and working with agencies. - Presentations: Creating and delivering presentations to PIs on campus. - Campus Visits: Visiting various colleges on campus at UNCG. - Meetings in Washington, DC: Meeting with program officers in Washington, DC, 1-2 times per year, including expensed travel. - Networking: Sitting down with program managers during grant writing processes to network and form relationships. - Encouraging PI Meetings: Encouraging PIs to meet with program officers in DC. Skills and Requirements - Masters degree from an accredited college or university in research administration, MBA, science, or public administration. Alternatively, a Bachelors degree with 2-5 years of University experience. - At least 2-5 years in a research development space or a University research environment - Experience creating and implementing programming that assists researchers in growing their externally funding research. - Demonstrated success in developing programming to assist faculty with grant writing, project management, budgeting, and building research teams. - Extensive experience working with federal and state agencies to anticipate funding opportunities and to then strategically prepare for such opportunities. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
