We have an opportunity for a candidate to serve as the Associate Director of the Propulsion Value Stream organization, focusing on the strategic transformation of the business, and serving as a key liaison to the functional partners within the Propulsion Business.  

 

Reporting to the General Manager and Value Stream Director, this role will be an integral part in leading the organization to ensure key strategic goals are met. This role has oversight of transforming how we manage delivery execution, key business processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost performance for the Propulsion business. This role will partner with peer Value Stream Managers who have the accountability for the execution of the full lifecycle of their portfolios to ensure the organization enables their mission to execute successfully.  

What You Will Do

Accountable for the execution of key initiatives to enable the effective operation of the business across safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance objectives Responsible to establish, improve, and manage the performance of key processes required to ensure successful Value Stream leadership of the Portfolio across the product lifecycle for all Value Streams Interface with site leadership to ensure the successful execution of internal and external commitments Effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders progress of key initiatives and business performance including to senior leadership.

What You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Prior experience managing people is required

Willing to travel up to 20% of the time, primarily domestic

Ability to lead through influence cross-functional teams without direct chain of command 

Demonstrated history of leading projects from start to finish, with an emphasis on change management, process establishment, and measurable improvements 

Comfortable interfacing and communicating throughout the organization across different disciplines, as well as with different levels of leadership.  

Able to dive deep into topics to ensure efficacy of solutions and tactical actions, while maintaining perspective on the overall strategic intent of initiatives

The salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 316,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
