The Philadelphia, PA site manufactures a life-saving influenza vaccine. Our product is aseptically filled into sprayers for nasal administration. The site consists of two geographic locations - a facility at Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia and the Bensalem storage and distribution facility. The facilities are about 8 miles apart and both are situated close to I-95, the city of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. Our site is highly collaborative where we show our Philly pride in all we do. We work closely together, always striving to be better every day. The Project Manager is accountable for the management, execution and delivery of capital and strategic projects including development of project plans and timelines via established project management tools. Successful Project Management includes identification and recommendation of the best business solution and reason, develop a project plan, and then deliver the project plan to achieve business results.
What you’ll do:
Ensure reasons are developed and approved for small and large projects aligned to site and product strategy.
In coordination with team members and sponsors, development of project case, scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
Manage project execution according to site project management standards & requirements. Ensure projects are delivered to budget, on time and with reason delivered.
Exhibit strong facilitation skills to drive project teams to deliver results, manage conflicts and deliver solutions.
Raise risks and issues to relevant partners, while establishing achievable mitigation & contingency planning.
Ensure that all projects comply internal quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Support regulatory submissions as required.
Lead change management efforts for project-related changes, ensuring that stakeholders are effectively engaged, training is provided, and processes are adapted smoothly.
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial reporting and forecasting are accurate and timely. Identify areas for cost savings and ensure the financial success of the projects.
Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers involved in the project. Set clear expectations and monitor performance throughout project lifecycle.
Ensure all projects adhere to SHE policies, regulations, and best practices.
Ensure that all projects align with sustainability goals, reducing waste, optimizing energy use, and meeting environmental regulations.
Utilization of tools to identify, manage, and communicate processes and risks.
Timely and effective verbal and written communication to teams and to stakeholders.
Essential for the role:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Science or Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is desirable.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely delivery.
Demonstrated strong team management skills with the ability to successfully mentor, coach and development people capabilities.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communications skills.
Comfort with ambiguity and fast pace.
