Associate Director - Quality Control Laboratory

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$108,000 - $158,400

Manage and supervise Quality Control laboratories to ensure the implementation of Product Quality Systems and Laboratory Quality Systems. Ensure effective management of resources. Ensure that laboratory results are reliable and delivered on time according to the requirements of internal and external customers.Job responsibilities:Ensure compliance with GMPs and quality corporate policies as well as safety and environmental policies.Drive compliance decisions for the QC initiatives and processesAssure inspection readiness for internal and external auditsInteract with internal and external auditors during GMP inspections.Participate in strategic planning exercisesImplement QC systems that support the business strategies assuring compliance with applicable regulations.Responsible for the timely completion of analytical deviations and changes that support batch disposition activitiesProvide oversight and guidance for the compliance aspects of QC operations.Design, approve, and communicate departmental objectives and applicable metrics.Lead a diverse team and manage performance and development.Participate in the preparation of the departmental budget and capital planningEnsure a quality agreement is in place between Lilly sites supplying and receiving analytical samples Ensure that the QC facilities, equipment, or systems are compliant and maintained in a validated or qualified stateBasic Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or Pharmacy10+ years of experience in Quality Control in a highly regulated pharma manufacturing environment5+ years of supervisory experienceProven regulatory inspection experienceExperience in new product introduction, preferredAdditional Skills & Preferences:Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)Strong compliance mindset and sound judgementExcellent leadership skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with peopleWork under time pressure and be flexible/agile when priorities change.Use a logical, systematic approach to problem-solving.Influence and coach/mentor others.Lead and organize work priorities and objectives, aligned with the business priorities and mission
