Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

Develop and implement comprehensive network strategies to optimize the global manufacturing and supply chain network for vaccine operations, ensuring alignment with Takeda's long-term goals for Dengue vaccine supply (LRF).Responsible for developing and implementing a robust supply strategy (up to 10 years) aligned with the product strategy (as defined by the Product Operations Team, POT) to deliver the faster possible Dengue growth up to 100+ mds annual supply and COGm targets.Lead, coordinate and support collaboration efforts with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) to enhance production capabilities, maintain quality standards, and support the timely delivery of vaccine products in alignment with the external manufacturing organization and the POT in Global Product Operations.Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and risk mitigation across the manufacturing and supply network, leveraging insights using data, digital & technology and industry best practices.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop and execute robust, forward-looking network strategies to enhance global manufacturing and supply chain efficiency for vaccine operations. Support the POT to align these strategies with Takeda's long-term goals for Dengue vaccine supply (LRF), ensuring scalability, resilience, and adaptability to meet future demands and challenges. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate market intelligence, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements into the strategic planning process, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.Defines strategic planning directions to be tested through the strategic planning tool (managed by LRF planner): test options related to network evolution, technology evolution or process performance evolution in the LRF horizon. Drives associated COGs understanding.Function as the key point of contact for the Product Operations Team (POT) in VBU Global Product Operations to support Qdenga strategy development, implementation and execution in alignment with the cross-functional governance model.Elaborate solutions to adapt and grow the supply network over the next 10 years to meet the different LRF scenario & COGm targetsSupport the work with BD, Legal, Procurement and all necessary support functions to secure agreed options within solid contractual agreements.Support the overall process that strategies, associated contracts or investments are approved at the right board level (VBU EC, MSC or BRC) Supports CM&S budget and capacity/supply planning for MRP & LRF. Work closely with the Qdenga Product Operations Lead (POL) to drive those approvals and governance decisions according to Takeda Delegation of Authority.Maintain end-to-end view of network capacity at each stage of the product lifecycle.  Understand and manage the relationships between different initiatives for capacity expansion, lifecycle management, product development.  Ensure all stakeholders are aware and aligned on timelines, deliverables, and risks.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: 

B.S. degree in Technical Discipline; higher qualifications preferred (MBA, or related business degree).  10+ years relevant pharmaceutical industry experienceDemonstrated experience leading business critical initiatives within a matrix organization.  Significant experience in managing cross-functional, global teams with both internal and external stakeholdersStrong technical operations experience and understanding of diverse technologies from DS to final Pack (including analytical), combined with strong business acumenExperience in developing and/or evaluating projects/technologies/partnerships - considering technical and business relevant aspectsExperience with tech transfer partnership developmentStrong networking and interpersonal skill; ability to work across senior leadership teams.  Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organizationExperience with project portfolio management

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

Travel requirement: 15% - 25%Travel domestically and internationally to various meetings or client sites, including overnight and potentially over weekend trips.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

149,100.00 - 234,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
