This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in Electrical Engineering in a professional position that offers a wide range of interesting and challenging responsibilities.
The opportunity will have you teaming up with other engineers and designers involved in nuclear plant electrical systems betterment and associated modifications, which will include the following:
Electrical systems designPreparation of complex calculationsLoad flow and short circuitPower flowSystem ImpactCable ampacityPreparation of documented design inputsPreparation of equipment and material specificationsPreparation of design reportsAdditional opportunities will include:
Receive training and mentorship from experienced engineers in the execution of meaningful project engineering assignmentsBecome involved in power distribution designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation servicesTravel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designsThis position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential skills and experience:
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with a strong academic background in electrical power concepts/power systems analysis1 or more years of experience in performing power analysis, preferably within the power industryAn understanding of the practical application of electrical engineering and technology including applying systems, principles, techniques, and procedures to a project designKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and modelsExcellent verbal and written communication skills are necessaryStrong problem solving skills are desiredValued but not required skills and experience:
