This is a hybrid role. The first three months are full time in the office.
This position is responsible for identifying and implementing configuration management controls across the Eversource Electric Business, with focus on field, data, and engineering assets of Operations, Distribution, Transmission, and Substations functional areas. This includes assessing, inspecting and/or auditing various aspects of Engineering processes, Project Lifecycle and/or Maintenance Programs, as well as asset data accuracy, to ensure alignment with the strategic vision of the leadership team, as well as drive the quality and accuracy of field construction, maintenance, engineering and drawing activities.
Essential Functions:
Performs assessments of engineering, operations and projects data, deliverables, and processes to ensure accuracy and quality.
Implements analysis and tracking to identify trends and issues; develops recommendations resulting from assessments.
Plans and conducts asset field verifications and data accuracy programs.
Tracks mitigation or corrective plans and actions.
Responsible for implementing the Company’s electric quality assurance and control programs.
Designs and directs the development of performance tracking systems, balanced scorecards, and performance reporting for the Electric Organization.
Ensures configuration control of various company record systems essential to operations, through ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures.
Implements annual risk-based assurance program (audits, inspections, analysis) aimed at ensuring key compliance programs and risk mitigation efforts are performing adequately in the electric business.
Identifies best practices and opportunities for future improvement.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Knowledge of transmission power system planning, engineering, maintenance, and operations.
A combination of strong technical knowledge and business acumen.
Ability to understand and utilize engineering and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses, identify key issues, and develop strategies and plans.
Working knowledge of information technology and use of Eversource’s office automation and information systems.
Ability to enhance internal and external customer satisfaction.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to make formal presentations and translate technical information into terms that are meaningful to the audience.
Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
Knowledge of data management best practices is preferred.
Ability to use software applications (e.g., Excel, Access, or Power BI) is preferred.
Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., SQL, R, or Python) is desired.
Work includes data entry, data manipulation, data analysis, technical writing, editing, planning, evaluating, interpreting, organizing, consulting, analyzing, designing, documenting, specifying, coordinating, implementing, and presenting.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. An electrical engineering degree is strongly preferred.
An advanced degree in engineering is desirable.
Experience:
A minimum of zero (0) to three (3) years of related experience is required.
Experience in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electric utility industry is strongly preferred.
Experience in one or more aspects of the job is required and operations/field experience is strongly preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid motor vehicle license
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $79,000.00 to $87,000.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
