As an Associate Engineer at The Cheesecake Factory, you’ll be essential to maintaining, upgrading, and securing the technology infrastructure across our restaurant locations. From ensuring seamless system operations to implementing crucial security measures, you’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on keeping our restaurant technology running smoothly and safely. You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Are a: Tech Upgrader: Confidently manage and deploy operating system upgrades across restaurant systems, ensuring smooth transitions and full compliance with company standards. Security Supporter: Work hand-in-hand with our security team to identify and address system vulnerabilities, support security patches, and respond to incidents. Script & Automation Builder: Create scripts and batch files that streamline system tasks, automate processes, and improve efficiency. Compliance Champion: Maintain and update systems to meet security standards, ensuring restaurant technology is both efficient and secure. Troubleshooter Extraordinaire: Provide expert-level support for technology incidents, working through challenges and escalating complex issues to senior engineers when necessary. Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Operations Computer Image Management: Create and maintain standardized images for restaurant back-office computers and terminals, ensuring they align with the company's software and security standards. Operating System Upgrades: Assist in planning, testing, and executing operating system upgrades across restaurant systems with minimal disruption and full compliance. Scripting and Batch File Development Design and maintain scripts and batch files for automation, troubleshooting, and routine system management tasks. Operating System and BIOS Changes Implement necessary operating system and BIOS changes on restaurant computers and terminals. Post-Provisioning Tasks Complete post-provisioning tasks Software installation, configuration, and updates, to ensure all systems are operational and ready for use. Technology Lifecycle Program Collaborate with the IT Deployment team to assist with managing the lifecycle of hardware, including upgrades and replacements. Patching Work with the Technical Services team to test and validate operating system and application patches, ensuring systems are updated and secure. Security Assistance Collaborate closely with the security team to identify and address system vulnerabilities, apply security patches, and support security incident responses, utilizing tools such as CrowdStrike and Qualys. Incident Escalations Provide top-tier support for technology-related incidents, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or IT management as required. What we require: 3+ years of experience in an IT support environment. Ability to Demonstrate hands-on experience or coursework in scripting and batch file development. Offer familiarity with Windows OS (7/10/11) and BIOS settings. Possess basic knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Communicate effectively, with strong interpersonal skills and a focus on teamwork. Show a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technology.
