The Associate Engineer will be trained in a rotational program to deal with complex issues, to serve as an escalation point, providing in-depth support, collaborating with the Development, Testing, Product and Project Management Teams.

OBJECTIVE:

Learn to support the Service Desk and NOC in driving resolutions of technical issues, providing documentation and train to become a Product Specialist.  This team's mission is to help utilities manage their load on the energy grid, reduce the need to build additional Power Plants, and help to improve the environment.

 

 

Daily Responsibilities:

Responding to alerts from email audits and monitoring systems as well as supporting escalations from the Service Desk and NOC Investigation of customer issues, problem replication, providing workarounds, and working with the development team to ensure complete solutions and product improvements Support customer upgrades and integrations 

 


Skills and Qualifications:

Solid Linux skills Familiar with SQL  Linux Shell Scripting

 


Preferred Qualifications: 

High degree of analytical skills Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised Plan and maintain schedules   Multitask prioritize, and work under pressure Excellent written and oral communication skills Work well between teams and internal customers Complete root cause analysis with attention to detail Experience with wireless technologies is a plus Background in software quality testing is a plus

 


Primary Responsibilities: 

Ensure customer issues are fully documented and resolved, or escalated to appropriate teams within SLA guidelines Work with Lab equipment to re-create customer issues and test for resolution Provide relevant use-case scenarios and appropriate solutions to support improvements to customer-facing test suite Create customer facing documentation on issues with resolution steps Participate in Change Control Board to ensure resolutions are Customer focused Develop into a Subject Matter Expert in more than one technical domain: Landis+Gyr Gridstream technology, from head-end software to the field endpoints Advance Load Management Power Center and associated functionalities Support software installation activities for new releases and provide post-implementation support Validate and support beta versions of software and identify gaps in technical documentation such as release notes, wiki articles, and Knowledge Based articles Participate in response teams for root cause analysis of system problems identified during deployment    Act as the liaison to other business units as needed to resolve and follow through on issues or defects

 

 

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science  Customer Service, Retail, or Hospitality expereince a plus Linux - SQL - Linux Shell Scripting

Pay is in the range of $57,100 - $78,550 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held. All candidates are encouraged to apply.
