**Responsibilities**
+ Performs a variety of equipment/process operations involving an application or technical skills in a specific area (electrical, software, manufacturing/design, etc.)
+ Supports engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype mechanical and systems and/or specialized test equipment, as a part of a team of engineers and SMEs.
+ Assist in evaluating, troubleshooting tests and equipment and may assist in the training/supervision of other technical support staff. Assist in creating, modifying and testing products and processes.
+ Analyzes requirements for materials, structural component, or functional systems. Selecting applicable analytical data from previous products and determine the technical principles involved. Mathematically defining problems and compute the engineering characteristics consistent with the specifications, design needs and requirements of other portions of the products.
+ Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems applying principles and techniques of electrical, electronics, computer engineering or other disciplines.
+ Manage the activities required to meet the objectives of assigned design and development projects. Assist in production and presentation of technical material to support internal & external meetings.
+ Other engineering activities include but are not limited to assembly, installation, connection, and testing of components; assessing capability gaps and solutions; developing system models; constructing and executing simulation and analysis plans; conducting trade studies and sensitivity analysis; and interpreting and synthesizing test results & analysis and translating them into concise and comprehensive artifacts for documenting and communicating to multiple audiences. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test equipment.
+ Participate in technical interchange discussions as requested.
+ Supports corporate initiatives, proposals, and business development activities as requested.
+ Travel required to various DEA (customer) locations across United States.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineer, Math or related area (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Degrees in Engineering or Scientific discipline highly preferred) and 1+ years of relevant experience. Advanced degrees desired.
+ A combination of education, OTJ training, and 2+ years of relevant professional experience in engineering field can be considered for possible substitution of degree / educational requirement.
+ Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
+ DEA agency check / public trust is highly preferred. Ability to pass law enforcement agency background check & obtain a public trust.
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance & ability to obtain and maintain up to Top secret clearance is highly desired.
+ Solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of test and fabrication tools, ability to fabricate complex hardware.
+ Ability to use computers and software applications to assist in job execution.
+ Communication and collaborative skills consistent with crossing projects and programs in a multi-team environment.
+ Strong knowledge of training processes and procedures.
+ Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and/or PHP per task requirements.
+ Project & Task Management Skills: Facilitation, negotiation, time & resource management, etc.
+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with experience in people & stakeholder management (varying levels).
+ Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
