You work as part of a cross-functional team to lead and deliver the activities required to complete Process Design and Process Deployment for Innovation, Growth and Productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

With the support of a manager and technical coaches, you will design and implement projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements and effectively communicate project statuses and risks. As part of that planning process, you will conduct activities to generate the appropriate process information, using modelling, simulations, and pilot plant and plant trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements. You will also plan and conduct process development activities including process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning, technical risk assessments and create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications. In this role, you will assist in planning the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies, and manage stakeholders, making recommendations and influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of data. You will also create intellectual property to drive competitive advantage.

More about this role

What you need to know about this position:

The Candidate will be responsible for designing, planning and execution of trials for pilot plant and plant. They must also develop and manage project plans and timelines ensuring that projects are delivered on time. Candidates should possess strong technical and project management skills, and effective communication skills. This position will have the opportunity to build strong relationships across R&D, with suppliers, Co-manufacturers, the Business, Research, etc.

The Candidate must possess some experience in formulation, process and commercialization. The individual must be able to write detailed process specifications and project reports and is able to support Quality and Manufacturing needs as it relates to their projects.

The Candidate must be able to assess testing plans, gather and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings. While the candidate will be a member of a team, they will need to be able to lead their assigned projects and collaborate with cross functional team members.

Primary responsibilities:
• Lead execution of innovation, brand value, quality improvement launches from Pilot plant assessment to commercialization and lead alternative line qualifications, ensuring trial readiness (70%)
• Develop, update and maintain process/ product specification of assigned projects (20%)
• Engage with research technical experts, suppliers, RDQ partners, and Business cross functional partners including Marketing, Sales, PCM, Procurement, Manufacturing, Consumer Science, CIS, Graphics partners.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.

Job specific requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience working with proven track record of successful product launches and product & process development technology in the Food Industry.
Strong Engineering and process Knowledge with some basic understanding of Food Science and Food Chemistry
 

Travel requirements:

Travel up to 30%

Onsite position based in East Hanover, NJ.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $66,400 to 91,300; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
