Join us. **Job Summary:** Implements and improves testing, development and validation techniques, processes, tooling and machinery to maximize product quality. Caterpillar’s Advanced Materials Technology (AMT) Department is currently seeking an experienced Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) engineer focused on failure analysis. This person will provide technical guidance to local SEM operators and training and troubleshooting to SEM operators in other facilities. In this role you will have an opportunity to analyze a wide variety of machine and engine components through scanning electron microscopy, ultimately providing design support and failure analysis. You will also have responsibility for growing the SEM failure analysis competency in AMT. **What You Will Do:** • Resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing.
