What is the opportunity?
As the Associate, Estate Planning Specialist, you will be supporting an Estate Planning Specialist in providing insurance-based solutions to clients of RBC Wealth Management. You will also be expected to become familiar with the Individual Life and Living Benefits products and services available through our approved list of insurance suppliers.
What will you do?
Client Facing Sales Support:
Actively contribute towards sales targets assigned to Estate Planning Specialist (EPS) and to overall success of the team.Manage end-to-end insurance sales process for recommended solutions, ie. Living benefits, permanent insurance and term Insurance.Policy delivery to clients.Preparation of materials (Illustrations & concepts) for meetings with prospects and clients.Analyze client cases and make appropriate recommendations.Back Office(Administrative) Support:
Plan and manage day to day activities in EPS’ absence.Plan weekly/monthly business meetings, develop agendas.Review all documentation and correspondence filing procedures and ensure an organized system is in place.Support inforce servicing through client reviews and respond to requests.Ensure client inquiries and any problems are responded to in a timely manner and that all activity is recorded in a contact management system.Focus on Business Development activities to increase team revenue:
Increase awareness of Wealth Management Financial Services and develop new business opportunities through 1 on 1 presentations, group/branch presentations, inforce analysis etc.Manage pending cases and take the appropriate actions to move clients along in the sales funnel.Use internal software to communicate, plan and develop cases work for yourself and EPS.Work closely with head office and manager to execute initiatives to generate new sale opportunities.Build and maintain strong relationships in region and branches with Investment Advisors (IA), Associate IA’s, Branch Managers/Assistant Branch Managers, Financial Planners, Wholesalers, and other internal & external partners.What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalLife Insurance License (LLQP)A minimum of 5 years’ experience in insurance industryComprehensive knowledge of Life and Living Benefits Insurance ProductsExperience with marketing programs to build business social awarenessNice-to-have
A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience dealing with high-net-worth clients1 year of direct client facing experienceProduct and concept experience with life company illustration softwareWhat’s in it for you?
