Associate Executive Director

This is a professional administrative position responsible for the procurement, utilization, supervision, development and control of the Residential Services Department.  An employee in this position reports to the Administrator. 

 

In addition, the incumbent may be designated a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) if the educational qualifications are met.

 

Responsibilities: 

Develop effective working schedules for staff. Assist in formulating policies relating to the administration of the department. Assist in the development of the policies and procedures of the facility in regard to the Safety Committee. Assist in formulating, organizing and conducting training programs for the purposes of on-the-job training, orientation of employees regarding agency policies and routines, promotional and staff development. Direct, coordinate and discipline staff to insure adherence to the agency’s policies and procedures. Participate in collective bargaining, contract negotiations and grievances Work closely with other departments to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the individuals in our care. Inform and advise the Administrator about the programs, practices and problems of the program. Submit to the Administrator a clear and detailed explanation of any proposed procedure which would involve either departure from established policy or the expenditure of substantial sums.
