We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician / Field Technician / Sr. Field Technician for our Greenville, KY location.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out daily operations and maintenance tasks to maintain necessary gas flow and meet all regulatory requirements of a Natural Gas Compressor Station, Pipeline and Storage Field. This position will be required to operate the compressor station on a rotating basis. The incumbent will be expected to respond to call outs during assigned week of operating duties and in addition will periodically be part of the on-call rotation for the area and respond to emergency or abnormal situations. Duties include all assigned responsibilities in the handling of natural gas as relates to reciprocating compression equipment, pipeline, storage and all related subsystems at the company’s West Greenville/Graham Lake work locations. Successful candidate will perform all assigned construction duties as well as preventive pipeline maintenance and operation related to meter stations, corrosion control, and right-of-way maintenance. Handle facility encroachment activities including pipe location, excavation, and inspection. Successful candidate is expected to acquire Operator Qualification tasks and ECP skills necessary for job performance. This position may occasionally be required to assist at other nearby facilities.
Successful candidate must reside within 30 miles of the West Greenville, KY Compressor Station.
Normal work hours for this position are 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. weekdays: however, this position is subject to occasional call-out and schedule adjustments, as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, as well as strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and a strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple projects.
+ This individual should also have experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to read, comprehend, and follow Company procedures and manufacturers guidelines.
+ Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments.
+ Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record is required and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
+ Must have a strong commitment to Personal and Team safety.
