About the position:
The position is open to candidate who has prior experience in financial reporting function with mindset of connecting the dots. They will be part of the Financial Accounting Team and exposed to various Wholesale Banking products.
About the department:
The Finance department’s key responsibility is management of the financial aspects of the Wholesale Banking business lines. Proper presentation of financial, regulatory & liquidity reporting for applicable entities in accordance with applicable ING Group policies & procedure, accounting and regulatory frameworks is our primary responsibility. It is our mission to maintain the holistic and robust reporting environment with accurate financial data and substantial control framework.
Principal Responsibilities:
Prepare and review of the Head-Office Consolidated Financials and ECB Regulatory ReportingTake ownership of the quality and reliability of the financial reportsMaintain appropriate supporting documentation and implement on-going internal controls over financial reporting and improve processes and proceduresPerform variance analysis and provide detailed commentary for balance sheet, income statement, and off-balance sheetKeep abreast of any new accounting guidance that would have impact on reportingLiaise with other Finance teams, Operations, Front Office, internal & external auditorsQualifications and Competencies
Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or combined in the financial service industry (public accounting experience is a plus)An understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts related to Wholesale banking products (experience with IFRS is a plus)Working knowledge of financial products, especially fixed income and derivativesStrong quantitative and analytical skills and solid understanding of financial analysisExcellent communication and writing skillsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethicProficient in MS Suite (experience with Power BI or Python is a plus)Salary Range $80,000-$105,000
