About your Team:

Interactive Brokers is looking for a motivated and talented litigation attorney with experience in securities and commodities issues in the broker-dealer and futures commission merchant space, who is interested in joining the firm’s General Counsel office in Greenwich, CT, Chicago, IL or Washington, DC.

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR: 

Representing the firm in arbitration and other adversarial proceedings (both directly and in conjunction with outside counsel) Coordinating with outside counsel on court actions involving the firm Representing firm employees in third-party proceedings Advising firm employees on pre-litigation matters Drafting agreements, disclosures, account documentation and website materials Investigate and provide detailed analysis and legal advice in connection with anti-fraud efforts and cybersecurity matters Staying abreast of current cyber-related regulatory developments

What required skill’s you need:

At least 7 years of post-J.D. experience as a litigator at a law firm, financial services regulatory agency, exchange, broker-dealer or FCM. Would prefer “on-your-feet” experience in court or arbitration proceedings. Would prefer familiarity with securities and broker-dealer issues. Background in cybersecurity issues a plus. Member in good standing of the bar of any U.S. state or the District of Columbia. Solid academic background. High degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, and understanding of how technology is applied to business and regulatory problems. Outstanding oral and written communication skills
