The Associate General Counsel – Commercial Contracts, Corporate Governance, & Data Privacy position is a key role at Five Guys Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a “FIVE GUYS”. This transactional attorney will be the source of practical, timely, strategic, and high-quality legal advice and support for FIVE GUYS® corporate headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. The role is responsible for a wide variety of legal matters and projects, with the primary objectives of supporting the corporate governance, commercial contracts, and data privacy compliance activity of the company. This role will be responsible for the review and negotiation of various commercial contracts relating to FIVE GUYS® restaurants operating in North America, including (but not limited to) supply chain agreements, bakery agreements, food delivery agreements, key supplier agreements, and other corporate office and restaurant vendor agreements. In addition, this attorney will be responsible for all primary needs related to the company’s corporate governance and housekeeping matters including the drafting of board minutes, board resolutions, stock redemptions, stock options elections, and the maintenance of the company’s corporate ledger. Additionally, this attorney will be primarily responsible for providing counsel on enterprise-wide global privacy and data security-related matters impacting the company and its affiliates.  This position builds effective relationships with members of the company’s legal, accounting, supply chain, bakery, development, human resources, and marketing teams.
