The Associate General Manager is the hub of the business operations for the Broadway and International productions of Aladdin as well as the Beauty and the Beast North American Tour and International productions, along with other shows in development. The AGM oversees all contractual, financial, and payroll concerns. This position reports to the General Manager and will be asked to work across multiple productions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Budget creation and management for Broadway and North American Touring productions, including all production, operating, and move budgets.Special event and project management including opening night parties, cast album recordings, anniversary and holiday events, etc.Financial spend tracking, reporting and forecasting for production period for new international productions.Negotiate and contract Production team deals.Contract Ensemble performers for domestic shows.Vendor relationship management and payment processing. This includes establishing new relationships and guiding vendors through complicated processes to ensure their business meets The Walt Disney Company’s International Labor Standards.Oversee new employee onboarding process for Creative and Production personnel across all self-produced and licensed productions, including all contract creation, hiring paperwork, and distribution to relevant unions.Run a weekly payroll for Creative and Production personnel, including remittance of union benefits.Supervise the payment of Fees and Additional Weekly Compensation payments (AWCs) to Creatives across productions.Supervise the cost recovery process with licensee partners.Creation of purchase orders and change orders for physical production assets.Act as Company Manager on new projects in the months/weeks before Company Management teams are hired.Oversee the Fabric Store team and all financial matters related to the Fabric Store, including invoicing various productions.Oversee the process of theatre modification for all performance venues of BATB North American Tour which requires an understanding of touring and ability to work with venue production managers/technical directors several months in advance.Creation of competitive bidding documents.Other management projects as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have 5+ years’ experience in the management of professional theatre, including Company Management experience.All applicants must have strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, analyze situations and proactively identify potential solutions.Disney Theatrical Group, a division of The Walt Disney Studios, was formed in 1994 and operates under the direction of Andrew Flatt, Anne Quart, and Thomas Schumacher. The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $107,100 to $138,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
