Associate HS/MS School Principal JobID: 446 + Position Type: Administration/ Associate Principal + Date Posted: 2/18/2025 + Location: Clarke Community Middle School + Date Available: 07/01/2025 + Closing Date: 03/02/2025 Position Title: Associate HS/MS Principal Qualifications: Must possess the qualifications and certification set by the code of Iowa and the Iowa Department of Education. 3 or more years of experience is preferred. Reports To: HS/MS Principal(s) Supervises: The academic and support personnel employed and the students in the building assigned to the Associate Principal. Job Summary: To provide leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills that will promote the educational development of each student. Job Responsibilities: + Work collaboratively with the building principal(s) on the master schedule and class lists. + Assist with attendance, behavior incident reports, and other record-keeping functions with the student data management system (Infinite Campus). + Coordinate and prepare for the reporting of student data to the Iowa Department of Education as needed. + Manage student behavior and discipline attendance and tardies. + Assist in the supervision of students at building and district-wide extra-curricular/co-curricular functions. + Assist in supervising lunch room, bus duties, and duties as assigned. + Work with the school staff to ensure the safety of all students. + Coordinate all safety drills, bus drills, and safety plans. + Coordinate transition activities for students as they transition between attendance centers. + Coordinate student leadership activities. + Effectively develop a working relationship with parents regarding school-related issues. + Assist the principal in developing, determining appropriateness, and monitoring the instructional and student support. + Serve on committees as assigned by the building principal(s) and/or superintendent. + Meet with the administrative team to discuss student issues and articulate curriculum as needed. + Maintain a strong understanding of special education and be the LEA representative at IEP meetings as needed. + Work collaboratively with the building assistance team, building improvement team, social worker, and grade-level teams. + Work with outside agencies to provide services for students and their families. + Direct, supervise, and conduct evaluations of all support and certified staff as directed. + Assist with scheduling of classified staff. + Co-facilitate the orientation of new staff members. + Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Board, superintendent, principal, or administration. + Serve as building leader in the absence of the principal(s). + To assume such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 240-day contract (July 1 – June 30). Salary, benefits, and work year to be established by the Board of Education.
