Associate HR Manager - Hannibal Plant: OVERVIEW: Human Resources at General Mills is well-established as a strategic business partner. The Associate Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading the deployment of key HR initiatives and candidates should have considerable knowledge of Human Resource principles and practices, including but not limited to Talent Management, Compensation, Data Insights and Project Management. The Hannibal Plant is a 24/7 operational facility with a proud 50-year history serving the communities of Northeast Missouri. Hannibal is a manufacturing facility of approximately 1,100 employees serving the Meals and Baking (MBOU) and Snacks Operating Units. We operate in a fast paced, dynamic business environment, with a rich history of performance and growth. We have a diverse and complex product portfolio including brands such as Nature Valley, Old El Paso, Betty Crocker and we are the sole source producer of Progresso Soup. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Lead site level strategic talent & org priorities (30%): Serve as primary liaison to support partners within the HR Operating model (ex. COE partners in Recruiting, DIB, Compensation, Change Management) Develop plans in partnership with Plant Leadership team Lead appropriate change and communication planning processes and execution Lead prioritization of priority execution Primary HRBP accountability for 30-50% of plant workforce (30%): Create positive employee relations environment through close engagement and interaction with leaders and employees for supported group(s) Develop capability of leaders and employees through development strategies, process improvement and work system evolution Build culture through engagement, trust building and inclusion & belonging strategies Drive Manufacturing Excellence strategies to deliver business results through performance and reliability for assigned areas Drive workforce planning, succession planning and staffing for support groups Partner to Plant Manager/Assistant Plant Manager in developing high performance extended site leadership team and engaging leaders at all levels Process Leader for critical functional/plant level needs (30%): Primary owner for one or more key functional annual processes at site level (ex. APR, POR/talent planning, Engagement Planning), leading strategic planning, communication and execution Primary owner for one or more local core processes at site level (ex. communication pyramid, merit planning, annual event planning and execution, total site IJM & external recruiting planning, temp planning/staffing (where applicable)) Other Items as needed (10%): Back up coverage for HR Manager HR Liaison to relevant OU business team/SC stakeholders where needed for assigned groups L4 BPM owner for node action planning and follow ups for assigned groups MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or Business preferred At least 3 years of relevant experience required Previous manufacturing experience is highly preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy Strong customer service focus Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access), Visio, and SharePoint; with a willingness to learn and master other software programs as needed Ability to drive results in a fast paced, highly ambiguous, and constantly changing environment Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills – ability to prepare and analyze HR reports, translate data into recommendations and take appropriate action to achieve desired business results Ability to lead and manage projects independently COMPETENCIES/BEHAVIORS REQUIRED: Business Mindset & Insight Situational Agility & Judgement Credible Influence Data and Analytics Mindset Organizational Effectiveness Talent Management Consulting Agility PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or MBA preferred 2+ years’ experience using people and time management programs ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $91900.00 - $138000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
