Databricks is looking for a Finance Data and Systems Associate I, reporting to the Finance Data and Systems Senior Manager. You will combine finance and accounting expertise with technical proficiency in SQL and Python to automate workflows, shorten the close, and improve financial reporting. This role requires a collaborative and detail-oriented individual who can design, build, and support scalable solutions across Controllership and FP&A.
The impact you will have:
Automate financial close processes using Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python for areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), commissions, treasury, and tax Develop enhancements and resolve bugs with in-house revenue recognition solution Build reports and dashboards for month-end reporting and strategic analysis Create and maintain documentation of data lineage, data models, and business logic Adhere to SOX control standards with version control of code changes, peer reviews, data quality monitoring, data reconciliations, and regular manual reviews Provide support during close and ensure timely resolution of data-related issues Deliver training sessions and workshops to help end users understand and utilize data effectively Partner with IT and Engineering to provide requirements and perform user acceptance testing for the implementation of new products, go-to-market strategies, and billing/ERP systemsWhat we look for:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field 3+ years or equivalent tenure from related positions in accounting, FP&A, or data analytics US GAAP and ASC 606 experience with a strong understanding of SaaS/usage-based billing CPA certification is a plus Working experience with SQL and/or Python Expert in Excel or Google Sheets Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
