Responsibilities: • Develop and execute comprehensive data migration plans, considering data volume, complexity, and regulatory compliance requirements. • Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using industry-standard tools and technologies (Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, etc.). • Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the migration process, implementing data quality checks and validation procedures. • Collaborate closely with business analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand data requirements, map source and target systems, and address any migration challenges. • Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues, analyzing logs and reports to identify and fix discrepancies or errors. • Document migration processes and procedures meticulously, ensuring knowledge transfer and repeatability for future projects. • Stay updated on emerging data migration trends and best practices, exploring innovative approaches to optimize efficiency and security. Skills: • 6+ years of experience in data migration, ideally within the financial services domain. • Proven understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data quality management. • Familiarity with data migration tools like Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, or Microsoft SSIS. • Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) is essential. • Experience on any one of the Data Migration tools like Tableau, Appache NiFi (added advantage) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to navigate complex projects with diverse stakeholders. • Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and composure. Key points: • Experience migrating data to cloud platforms and open banking ecosystems. • Knowledge of financial services data models and regulatory standards (PCI DSS, PSD2, etc.). • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. • Experience scripting in Python, SQL, or other data manipulation languages.
