About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in CAD design, New Product Development (NPD), and a passion for creating innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in using software such as Creo, SolidWorks, NX, and other CAD tools to create precise 3D models and technical drawings. This role will be crucial in designing, developing, and refining our products from concept through to production, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring high-quality, reliable products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Design & Development: Lead and manage the end-to-end process of designing new products and improving existing products, from concept development to production launch. CAD Modeling: Use Creo, SolidWorks, NX, and other CAD tools to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings. New Product Development (NPD): Actively participate in the NPD process, collaborating with other engineers, manufacturing, and quality teams to design products that meet specifications, timelines, and cost requirements. Prototyping & Testing: Create prototypes, test designs, and validate product functionality to ensure design intent and reliability. Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and ease of assembly, collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production handover. Documentation: Prepare detailed design documents, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production and reference. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to production, manufacturing, and quality teams as needed. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities, seeking ways to improve designs, reduce costs, and enhance quality.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on CAD and NPD. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, NX, and other CAD tools. Solid understanding of NPD processes, prototyping, and product lifecycle management (PLM). Knowledge of DFM principles and experience in designing for ease of manufacturing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Self-motivated with a commitment to meeting project deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Familiarity with other CAD/CAE tools or project management software. Knowledge of regulatory standards and certifications relevant to product design.Why Join Us?:
