Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com. **The team you will be a part of** The Product Design team designs, validates and brings new products to market.; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety. Collaborates with internal partners to optimize designs for manufacturability. Uses CAD/CAE systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings. **This role in summary** **As an Associate Industrial Designer, you will support efforts to understand emerging trends, seek out real-life insights, and create design solutions that will impact experiences for the next generation of home appliances.** **Your responsibilities will include** + **Create assets ranging from conceptual sketches, CAD models, physical prototypes, and high quality renderings/animations to communicate design intent.** + **Work with a variety of process partners to gain an understanding of marketing strategies, manufacturing requirements, and engineering constraints.** + **Grow an understanding of our design strategies and philosophies by working with cross-functional design leads.** + **Work with design specialists in graphic design, CMF, UI/UX, usability, and craftsmanship to create fully immersive experiences.** **Minimum requirements** + **Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited school** + **0-3 years of professional design experience in a corporate or consultant environment** + **3D Computer modeling skills** + **Strong project management and planning skills** + **Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines** + **Strong decision-making abilities and self-motivation** + **Strong visual communication skills** + **Ability to adapt design intent through the development process.** Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool Corporation See what it's like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers (http://www.whirlpoolcareers.com/) .
