Job Summary: Designs, develops and implements process improvements, work methods, efficient layouts, transportation solutions and material handling engineering projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops standards utilizing work measurement methods and/or stopwatch data as required.  Formalizes job code standards including frequency and occurrence data imbedded in work measurement methods.Develops elementary methods and process steps at the individual or teamwork station level.Creates and maintains all data within PATS as required excluding interface maps.Works on special productivity performance troubleshooting and analysis projects at a workstation level or at a systems/data level as assigned by the DC Industrial Engineer.Analyzes statistical data for volatility and standard deviation norms as assigned by the DC IE in relation to productivity performance, capacities, etc.Redesigns workstation level tasks to incorporate improved ergonomics and safety requirements.Assists the IE or IE Manager in developing DC layouts, CAD drawings, and space/density analysis.Recommend and justify basic process improvements to senior IE staff, and calculates savings in labor or materials.

 

Who We Are Looking For: You.  

Job Knowledge:

Microsoft Office Suite. I.e. Teams Excel and WordKnowledge in stopwatch level timings and time study at a basic levelTrained in basics of work measurement and work design principlesBase knowledge of ergonomics and safety regulations in relation to work and process design compliance.Intermediate knowledge of stopwatch work measurement, including simultaneous variables and spot pace ratingBasic understanding of data collection principles to support Labor Management SystemsGeneral trained knowledge of efficient workflow concepts and methods developmentCapable of elementary use of CAD

Minimum experience required to perform this job:

4-year degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar equivalent degreeCurriculum experience in college along with internships/part time roles in IE type function during school. 0-1 year experience post college graduation.

This position has a starting salary range of $60,500 to $75,600. per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
