Associate Industrial Hygienist / Mold Assessor

We are looking for an Associate Industrial Hygienist to join our team on a full-time, direct basis and contribute to our EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) operations in the Delray Beach, FL area.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Contribute to Industrial Hygiene (IH) projects associated with mold and/or Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). Perform environmental building surveys (and write reports accordingly). Prepare reports including observations, analysis of contaminants, and recommendations for control & correction of hazards. Utilize appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including respiration protection devices. Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria (using judgement in making minor adaptations & modifications to suit the task at-hand). Participate in more-detailed investigations, site assessments, larger projects, and more complex studies (e.g.: Phase II ESA’s with soil and/or groundwater sampling, etc.), as needed. Contribute to a variety of OHS / IH projects (associated with asbestos, Lead-Based Paint [LBP], etc.), as needed. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

 

 

Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma (or equivalent). 2+ years of professional experience working with EHS and/or OHS-related tasks (preferably with Industrial Hygiene and/or Environmental Remediation). Mold Assessor license in FL (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully obtain this credential within 6 months of their start date).

 

This person will be expected to work regularly in the field, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver’s License as well as Reliable Transportation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, EHS, Safety Management, or a related field is preferred. Completion of OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is strongly-preferred. Building Inspection credential(s) in FL is a plus! Experience working with EHS and/or OHS-oriented responsibilities, preferably with IH / IAQ projects. Experience working with field-based testing & sampling at client sites. Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications, especially with MS-Excel. Strong analytical skills. Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy. Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
