Location: Houston, Texas
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Applications Business Analyst with at least 3 years of experience in working with applications, gathering business requirements, documenting workflows, and creating test plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes and be proficient in using tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Visio, and Microsoft 365.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
+ Document workflows and processes to ensure clear communication and understanding.
+ Develop and maintain test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of applications.
+ Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
+ Conduct user acceptance testing and provide feedback to development teams.
+ Create and maintain documentation for applications and processes.
+ Provide support and training to end-users as needed.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure smooth operation.
+ Act as a liaison between IT development groups and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of current systems.
+ Evaluate new applications, system requirements, and evolving business needs to recommend appropriate solutions and alternatives.
+ Serve as an agile product owner ensuring software development projects align with customer needs and deliver maximum value while adhering to agile scrum methodologies.
+ Drive analysis, validation, and verification to determine what data is required to support business needs.
+ Lead coordination efforts with staff, vendors, and customers to understand business requirements and design data architecture, solutions, and processes.
+ Support the definition of road maps and portfolios of change that reflect business strategy and performance objectives.
+ Develop processes including models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
+ Deliver customized reports and recommendations to support ongoing business decisions and customer reporting requirements.
+ Establish strong relationships with teams across the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ At least 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related role.
+ Proficiency in Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Visio, and Microsoft 365.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
+ Understanding of low-code platforms such as Appian is a plus.
+ Sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through on actions including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment.
+ Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner (verbal and written) across functional and technical departments.
+ Capacity to work on multiple tasks at any one time, handling conflicting demands, prioritizing workload, and effectively delegating while maintaining high-quality standards.
+ Expertise in rapidly comprehending new technologies.
+ Stakeholder management skills to facilitate change delivery in a busy working environment with competing day-to-day priorities. High emotional intelligence and solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
