Job Details:
Summary: Responsibilities will vary from performing one procedure or work instruction to a number of chemistry, analytical, microbiological or quality system procedures or work instructions in a Food Safety Laboratory.
Major Responsibilities
Precision and accuracy in performance of work instructions and data collection is essential.Must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements.Initial proficiency testing must be passing and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter.Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency and growth after training. Growth will include cross training on assigned work instructions/tasks. Other duties as assigned.This position will be Tuesday-Saturday with rotating holidays and a possible Sunday rotation.
Requirements and/or Qualifications:
Education: Entry level position. Minimum requirement of high school diploma (or equivalent experience). College level courses or degree in chemistry, microbiology or a related science field preferred. Experience and/or Expertise: Laboratory experience is preferred. Good organizing and planning skills are required. Communication Skills: Good reading, verbal and written communication skills are required. Computer Skills: General knowledge of Windows/Microsoft Office Applications and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is preferred. Travel: No travel requirements for this positionTraining Programs: The training needs for this job classification have been assessed by the appropriate management team member and are listed in the LIMS Training Manager. The amount and level of training required is dependent on the level of responsibility authorized to team members assigned with this job classification.
