Associate Laboratory Assistant *Temporary*

This is a temporary assignment that will last a minimum of 9 months and maximum of 12 months with Providence.

                             This posting is for multiple openings at Swedish Edmonds Seattle, WA

                                                        MUST have Washington MA-PA certification

FTE's available:

1.0 Variable Shift

While assigned to the hospital laboratory, or other locations, performs procedures that are necessary for specimen collection on patients in all age groups (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric) including patient identification, patient preparation and verification of specimen according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Required qualifications: 

H.S. Diploma or GED    Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program. Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or Washington Medical Assistant Certification 

Preferred qualifications:

Prior phlebotomy experience.
