Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Legal Counsel with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to work on commercial service agreements from our Raleigh office. The successful candidate will effectively ensure legal conformity, minimize probability of exposure, demonstrate dependability and be willing to commit to working from the office at least three days a week.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining contract and terms of service templates.
Working closely with senior attorneys and other teams to achieve firm-wide strategic initiatives and goals.
Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulation and contract terms.
Supporting Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Required Qualifications:
Member in good standing of a state bar.
Strong drafting and analytical skills.
Ability to understand business needs and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the areas of data security, privacy regulation, RIA/BD/ERISA regulation or financial services experience a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Willingness and capacity to learn new and evolving regulatory fields.
