Associate Legal Solutions Consultant

The Thomson Reuters Legal Solution Consulting Team is responsible for engaging with prospective and current customers to demonstrate company legal department software solutions that will revolutionize how they work.  We are focused on maximizing sales and driving growth.

As a key member of the Solution Consulting team, the Associate Legal Solutions Consultant will be responsible for understanding the complexities of a company's legal team and demonstrating the value of HighQ and Legal Tracker software solutions through live and web-based presentations. This involves working with clients and prospects to understand their various legal team’s matter and contract processes, outside legal spend management, data challenges, and technology needs to ultimately identify and present meaningful legal solutions.  They key objective for this role is to effectively communicate how our legal technology can provide process optimization, drive efficiency, and reduce risk inside a company’s legal team so they focus on more valuable activities.

About The Role

Sales to new and existing customers for HighQ, Legal Tracker and CoCounsel products and services in conjunction with the existing account sales and management teams to meet or exceed sales quotaOnline and in-person demonstrations of HighQ, Legal Tracker and CoCounsel products to current and prospective customers.Understand and convey value of larger Thomson Reuters vision for legal departments.Understand and convey customer experiences that reflect the unique capabilities / differentiators of our products to solve the underlying business issues of the prospect.Translate complex technical ideas to non-technical professionalsUtilize business value calculators to help the prospect understand the value of our products.Work closely with professional services and data security teams in sales cycleBe innovative and bring forward ideas to demonstrate value to the sales processConsistently and routinely update information on opportunities and activities in Thomson Reuters CRMIn collaboration with marketing, create and deliver webcasts for thought leadership initiatives, software releases and enhancements, and other various marketing campaignsProvide leadership and participation in various user events (user groups, roundtables, trade shows) throughout the year as called upon

About You

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; JD is desirableAble to be available across multiple time zones as neededDesired: 1+ years’ experience selling or implementing legal software solutionsAbility to understand and communicate complex technology visions and value propositionsAbility to demonstrate to prospects and interact on a daily and weekly basis with prospects and sales executives. Ideally, proven pre-sales experience targeting and demonstrating software solutionsAble to effectively communicate with decision makers and be comfortable presenting to mid-level and executives in the Legal Operations functionHave a general understanding Legal Operations; Experience with Matter Management, E-Billing and contract management platformsTechnically savvy and technology curiousQuick learner; ability to work independentlyAble to travel up to 10%

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $72,500 - $134,600. Chicago, IL; Frisco, TX; Houston, TX; fully remote location. For these locations and any eligible US locations not otherwise noted, including for fully remote location if applicable, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $72,500 - $134,600. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
