Associate Manager, Field Category Leadership

As an Associate Manager on our Category Leadership team for Walmart, you will help lead category growth platform development by providing category programs and plans to field sales for a portfolio of our brands. You will report to the Vice President of Category Leadership.

Your Impact:

Provide category analysis and business impacts to the sales team, identifying opportunities to enhance customer/category goals and those of the companyCustomize existing corporate category initiatives and plans to propel company and category sales at the customerHelp deliver category insights to develop collaborative solutionsAssist team to exceed established shelving and merchandising goalsProvide category and shopper insights to the account in your assigned categories.Work with internal partners and retailer contacts to develop and help implement category growth plansPropose planograms to support shelving standards across assigned categoriesCollaborate with the sales team in developing modular objectives and strategies, develop proposals for distribution and shelving changes to the customer.Ensure category objectives are delivered

Your Experience:

Bachelor's Degree required; or Master’s Degree1-2+ years of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) related experience in sales or analytical roles. Category leadership experience preferred.Data integration and interpretation experienceExperience summarizing a holistic sales story from multiple sources of data, such as syndicated, loyalty, consumer and industry trendsAn understanding of syndicated panel data fundamentalsExperience working directly with customers in growing category salesExperience with Nielsen/IRI, Retail Link; experience with space management tools helpful but not required.Experience in Excel to develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and automate processes
