Summary:

Reports to Senior Manager, India ControllerBased out of Ahmedabad plant in India, this is a people manager role who will lead the entire A2R function of plant finance team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Statutory Compliances:

Preparation of Financial Statement as per relevant Ind AS and conclusion of Statutory Audit and Tax Audit, by acting as a bridge between Auditors and BBS, local finance and business teams for smooth closure with nil observationsCoordinating with external consultants for Transfer Pricing (TP) filings, TP Documentation, preparation and analysis of TP Segmentation to meet benchmarked ALPPayment of advance tax and Tax on a monthly and quarterly basisFiling of returns of Income Tax and withholding taxFiling of GST Returns and payment of taxes after due adjustments of Input tax creditFiling reply to notices of TDS, Income Tax, TP, GST and working for closure of ongoing assessment by taking the stands most favorable to the organization in tandem with the external consultants

Month-end Closing:

Preparation and review of various month-end schedules and their subsequent approvals in the Blackline tool for B/s reconPreparing flux analytics for BS for representation to the top managementUploading balances in reporting tool (HFM) and other compliances for subsidiaries and associatesFixed asset and Inventory managementReview of transactions to ensure accuracy of GL coding and processingSupport global finance leaders with timely and accurate financial information and reportingAs A2R lead for pharma entity ensure appropriate accounting and reporting under USGAAP and Ind AS, compliance and local laws

Education and/or Experience:

A qualified Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of experience in finance in manufacturing setup preferably in Pharma or Medical Devices CompanyExperience of working with Big Four Audit firms is preferableKnowledge of Ind AS and USGAAP is desirableKnowledge of JDE, Coupa, Blackline and Concur preferableYou should possess strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and leadership qualitiesExperience of successfully managing teamsManagement experience in a large multi-national organization, including SSC experienceInternal controls experienceDemonstrated ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels of the organization on a global basisDemonstrated ability to act as a change agentKnowledge of, and experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining processes and their supporting policies and procedures organization wideOperates independently and coaches’ others in complex, unique, strategic situationsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders from across the organization effectively, change behavior based on data analysis and tailor communication based on audience
