Associate Manager, Fuel Logistics

Job Description:

The Associate Manager of Fuel Logistics is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of fuel to RaceTrac and RaceWay stores by assisting in the day to day and personnel management of  Dispatchers and coordinators as needed.  As changes in operations arise, the Associate Transportation Manager coordinates with the Transportation Desk, Energy Dispatch, Regional Supply Managers, Accounting, Environmental and other departments as needed and makes decisions for how to adjust operationally.  In addition the Associate Manager will support Dispatch and Transportation Managers in developing talent by mentoring, providing training, conducting performance reviews and ensuring the teams are structured efficiently.

Flexibility for work hours and schedule (weekends and holidays) to meet operational demands is required for this role.

Responsibilities:

Manages all daily delivery within RaceTrac markets, monitoring store fuel inventory levels to prevent fuel run-outs, keep drivers efficient, and pull the correct fuel supply sources.Strategizes with internal counterparts on how to dispatch the stores most efficiently given market conditions. Recommends solutions for solving market health issues.Serves as an escalation point for communication and problem solving with truck drivers to help facilitate fuel delivery to all markets, including common carriers. Also serves as an escalation point for Dispatchers/Coordinators whose issues cannot be initially resolved.Works with the Transportation team to orchestrate pump outs, first deliveries, top off deliveries and use of driver capacity and common carrier help. Serves as a liaison between stores and the Store Support Center to relay potential problems with fuel deliveries.Works with reporting team to make data driven decisions and reports to help gain better insight into the markets (fuel sales, market inventory, driver count, market trends, outages, etc).Works with counterparts to optimize market operations and resources.Serves as a stakeholder with IS/IT to make improvements to the dispatch/transportation processes.

Qualifications:

3-5 years professional experience, business or logistics preferredMinimum of 3 years direct supervisory experience requiredProficient in MS Office Suite
