Associate Manager, Lease AccountingJob Description Summary
Responsible to work with the Portfolio Administration region leads and account teams where C&W provides Lease Accounting services. Portfolio Administration group provides data management and financial management services for a variety of accounts, helping to ensure quality and consistency across the platform. The position will perform ongoing account management for ASC 842 and IFRS 16 related functions, reviewing amortization schedules and providing monthly reporting.Job Description
Ongoing Services Management:
Requires basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations including an intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP). Conducts intermediate financial analysis.Review Real Estate, Equipment, Fiber, and Embedded leases for ASC 842 and/or IFRS 16 recognitionCreate Operating and Finance amortization schedules for Balance Sheet recognition and manage ongoing qualifying modificationsOversee month-end close, timely reporting, preparing and reviewing journal entries, assisting with year-end audits and various other special/ad hoc requestsGenerate and review quarterly and annual disclosure reporting for accuracy prior to sending to the client.Provide quarterly reconciliations on ASC 842/IFRS 16 footnotes to assist in 10-Q and 10-K filingsApply the financial policies and procedures of the company and/or client and bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of managementAttend cross functional team meetings and recording/integrating decisions into documentationProcess documentation/ mapping and assist with creating policies and procedures specifically tailored to clients’ needs. Train and enforce these procedures across the Portfolio Administration service platformProvide strategic oversight to improve the service delivery model for each clientEnsure compliance with internal policies and procedures such as SOC1, AR, AP, etc.Attend client calls or meetings to discuss the overall service delivery and platform initiativesPrepare special reports, or other property management items, as requiredProvide mentoring to new team members, business stakeholders when requiredAct as subject matter expert on both software and service processesPerform special projects as assignedCushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
